LSU to lose deputy athletic director Rempe to Nevada

LSU is in the process of losing a big asset that helped secure the hirings of big name coaches like Brian Kelly, Matt McMahon, and Kim Mulkey.

Stephanie Rempe will be leaving Baton Rouge to be the athletic director of University of Nevada. Rempe, who also served as the COO, had been at LSU since 2019. She successfully worked with Scott Woodward to lead the Tigers to both a National Championship and the COVID-19 pandemic.

Rempe has been imperative to rebuilding the relationship between LSU and state lawmakers in Louisiana along with Woodward as well as bringing in top notch coaches to LSU.

There has yet to be announcement on her replacement and Rempe will be heading to Reno as the second ever female athletic director for Nevada.
